» Equations Written in English Using Variables
Ever try to edit an equation only to find that you can't easily understand how they affect your 3D model? Do you end up wasting time by "reverse engineering" your equations? For example, do you end up having to search all model dimensions to find "D1@Sketch5", & then figure out how dividing it by "D3@Sketch2" will affect the model? Yeah, you're not alone!
The below video shows us how to write equations in a way that we can actually read the equation & immediately understand their design intent! Plus we learn how we can change the model without directly changing a dimension in the model! Saving us time!
| Standard Equations | Variable Equations | |
| Automates your design | YES | YES |
| Easy to create | YES | YES |
| Easy to understand how they affect the model (time saver) | no | YES |
| Delete Provideriables without unlinking first (time saver) | no | YES |
| Change values in feature tree instead of model (BIG time saver) | no | YES |
| Time to create | Faster | Fast |
