APPLICATIONS ENGINEER (AE) - Job Description

Location: Tulsa, OK

REPORTS TO: Technical Manager

SUMMARY:
A technical position responsible for demonstrating benefits of, application of, and use of EngATech products, including but not limited to the SolidWorks 3D CAD suite of products, as well as providing pre- and post-sales support to prospects, clients, and EngATech sales representatives and CAD Techs. Will also be in charge of creating, preparing, and instructing all standard and customized training courses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

  1. Develop and present sophisticated and stylistic product demos to develop interest in EngATech’s offerings and that help advance the sales process.

  2. Help persuaded prospects and clients in the purchase of our products and/or services and assist EngATech salespeople however necessary in the closing process of all sales.

  3. Support EngATech clients technically via installation, implementation of software solutions on client’s site, and technical assistance of all services and solutions both on- and off-site.

  4. Train EngATech clients on EngATech services and solutions.

  5. Assist with all consulting projects as needed.

  6.  Identify and document the most efficient processes for use in the product development processes both for EngATech and prospective or current clients.

  7. Author technical documentation (e.g. white pages and manuals)

  8. Keep all current software applications, demos, training files, and all others needed for duties and responsibilities, installed and working at all times.

  9. Keep all demonstrations and presentations current and organized including backups for quick installation as needed.

  10. Research new products and services for company and monitor and evaluate the activities of the competition.

  11. Support Technical Manager in all software, hardware, documentation, and training needed to assist fulfilling all technical duties across EngATech.

  12. Responsible for organized completion, including communication and documentation of all technical support issues

  13. Identify areas in clients’ processes where EngATech’s products and/or services may benefit, while communicating these issues to Account Sales Associate and/or client.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. The successful applicant will have and continue to develop excellent and effective sales-oriented technical presentation skills.

  2. Acquire and maintain adequate product, services, and industry knowledge necessary to produce at required sales, demonstration, presentation, and technical support levels.

  3. Above Average SolidWorks 3D CAD experience is preferred

  4. Ability to research and analyze engineering/manufacturing operations to identify, recommend, and implement specialized systems, processes, products, and/or services.

  5. Aggressive, "get it done" attitude.

  6. Exhibit persistence with high energy and drive.

  7. Ability to interact with clients regarding engineering/manufacturing products and/or service needs.

  8. Effective time management, decision making, human relations, and organization skills

  9. Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and phone in order to interact effectively with EngATech sales, management, and clients.

  10. Professional appearance, presentation, and manner

  11. Strong sense of team spirit, evident among working relationships with management, peers, and sales team members.

  12. In-territory travel abilities

  13. Work independently while maintaining a high level of quantity and quality.

  14. Hold oneself responsible for all technical/software/hardware aspects of demonstrations, training, installations, and implementations

  15. Enthusiastic about engineering technology, such as 3D CAD technology.

OUTSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE - Job Description

Location: Dallas, TX & Little Rock, AR

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager 

SUMMARY:
Primary functions include a combination of individual sales contributions with appointment scheduling and office administration.  Coordinate the sales of EngATech’s products and services by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

  1. Responsible for identifying and generating revenue opportunities for EngATech products and services in a defined market.
  2. Establish and maintain long-term, relationships with potential or current clients to develop, propose and sell the appropriate EngATech service and/or solution, meeting the needs of the client and company.
  3. Responsible for guiding clients through the sales process to successful closure.
  4. Develop and execute territory sales strategies in order to achieve and exceed assigned sales goals via cold calls to targeted markets.
  5. Responsible for developing and coordinating sales presentations
  6. Create, maintain and provide effective, accurate and timely sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  7. Develop sales process and procedures as needed to instill bi-directional communications as the organization grows
  8. Capture account profile and reference information, and update the sales database
  9. Call on current customers for additional product or services possibilities and manage leads and accounts using Outlook or ACT
  10. Continually pursue market opportunities through creation and distribution of literature, developing different types of lead generation and monitoring and evaluating competitor’s activities.
  11. Organize and present at seminars, trade shows and test drives for EngATech products.
  12. Schedule phone & on-site meetings & presentations, as well as special events, such as marketing seminars & trade shows
