True North Software Releases Compass Design Management Tool Public Beta For Hardware And Software Engineering

From concept exploration to implementation, Compass will enable you to do what you do best, design your product. Compass is designed to maximize your productivity through an innovative interface that "gets out of your way" coupled with a fast underlying implementation that won't keep you waiting.
Compass integrates design information into modules. These modules follow industry accepted practices with an easy to use interface that are logically integrated together. Compass is designed from the ground up with expansion in mind. Future versions of Compass will cover both hardware and software design methodologies. Compass is flexible in that you can use as much or little of Compass's features as you need on a per project basis.
Compass version 1.0 supports five modules:
- AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) Module
- QFD Phase 1 (Quality Function Deployment) Module
- Requirements Management Module
- Reports Module
- Project Module
System Requirements:
- Windows 2000 or XP or later.
- Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
Pricing:
When Compass version 1.0 final is released, the following pricing will apply.
- Single user license: $299
- Floating license: $999
Floating licenses use the FLEXnet license server.
Public Beta:
The Compass public beta is free to use and imposes no runtime restrictions upon its use. So go ahead and kick the tires as much as you want! A public beta version will last 45 days from the date of its release. So check our web site often for new public beta releases.
