Lorman Education Services Presents ?Practical Linear Scheduling For The Construction Process? Teleconference on February 15, 2006

(PRWEB) January 13, 2006 -– This is a practical seminar demonstrating a low tech method for efficiently scheduling repetitive type projects (high rise, subdivision housing, highway). The demonstrated method is simpler than a typical CPM and more powerful than a bar chart. Attendees will be exposed to alternate method for scheduling their next project.

L.L. “Buddy” Humphries, PE, is a professional engineer with extensive construction experience. Prior to attending engineering school at both the University of Houston and Texas A&M University, he was a carpenter and construction supervisor for a number of years. Mr. Humphries worked in project level management as well as corporate scheduler for an ENR 500 contractor before moving into construction claims work with the attendant rigorous schedule analysis. In addition to being licensed as a professional engineer in Georgia and Hawaii, he has held both building and civil general contractor licenses in Hawaii and California. Beyond university graduate level cost/schedule education, he was an AACE certified cost engineer and trained as a AAA commercial arbitrator. Mr. Humphries has been a speaker/trainer at various AGC, ABC and AACE seminars and classes. His experience with scheduling software pre-dates, PC days with McDonnell-Douglas mainframe, Pertmaster, and a custom application he wrote for a 5,000 activity CPM that ran on an Apple III. Over the last 20 years Mr. Humphries has used various versions of P3, Suretrak and MS Project. Experience at all levels from carpenter to upper management, enable a unique insight into scheduling at all phases in the construction/planning process as well as how it relates to field productivity.

This Teleconference is designed for contractors, construction supervisors, project managers, owner representatives, cost engineers, accountants, developers, design professionals and construction lenders. ENG, AIA and PMI Continuing Education Credits are available with participation in the program.
