(Vocus/PRWEB ) June 18, 2007 -- Leica Geosystems announces the creation of its first ever "Geomatics Center of Excellence", an innovative technology showcase and educational training center designed to support the surveying and engineering community throughout Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. This 4,000 square foot, modern high-tech facility located in Houston, Texas, will offer sales, support, and service for all Leica Geosystems surveying, high-definition scanning products (HDS), and reference station network infrastructures.

Throughout the planning process, we've focused on creating a facility driven by the needs of the local market where we will offer direct sales, extensive training, and post-sale support. Key staff at the facility will include direct sales representatives Jeff Ryall, Donald Biggs and Donnie Steel, a professional team with 30-plus years experience, collectively, in the surveying and engineering market.
