Now system developers can choose data to be logged for future analysis or display, by simply selecting the KineticaRT source channels and replaying the data via KineticaRT logging channels.

KineticaRT’s software engineers have put to advantage their years of design/implementation experience along with customer feedback to give system developers a well focused, simple-to-use logging component to track systems data for future analysis and archiving.

KineticaRT Logging comprises five components:
•CSV (comma separated value) File Component. This is the hub of KineticaRT Logging. The CSV component reads and writes data using CSV format. The CSV format ensures that it is easy to import results into spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel.
•Numerical Channel Component. This connects to the required standard Numerical Channel and records data from that channel. This recorded value is then passed to the assigned Logger component, typically the CSV Component, for writing to file in CSV format.

The remaining three channel components:
•Threshold
•Boolean
•Text

have similar functions to the Numerical Channel Components but, in addition, have the extra functions associated with the particular class of channel.

KineticaRT Logging features
•Comprehensive CSV Component properties giving accurate control of data acquisition and storage –
oPlay, Record, Pause, Step and Stop functions.
oControl over max file size to match available disc space
oPlayback and recording rate speed settings typically at 20hz to a max of 100hz, bounded by the particular application and operating system constraints
oCurrent state indication e.g. Recording, Stopped, Pause
oCurrent sampled data timed and dated
•Data error and diagnostics facilities
•Data positioning in file record controlled by simple index property value of the Numeric Channel Component.
