IPROMS 2009 - 5th I*PROMS International Virtual Conference on Innovative Production Machines and Systems

(PRWeb UK/PRWEB ) March 24, 2009 -- As a contribution to advancing research in the field of manufacturing, the Network of Excellence for Innovative Production Machines and Systems (I*PROMS), funded under the EU Sixth Framework Programme, is organising IPROMS 2009, an International Virtual Conference on Innovative Production Machines and Systems, from July 6 to July 17.

IPROMS 2009 provides a platform for presenting, discussing and disseminating research results contributed by scientists and industrial practitioners active in the area of innovative technologies for production. During the conference, people across the world will be able to register FREE of charge as guest delegates and view papers and presentations and take part in the online discussions via the conference Web site http://conference.iproms.org 

IPROMS 2009 builds upon the outstanding success of the IPROMS 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 virtual conferences. During previous IPROMS conference there were over 5000 registered delegates and guests from over 70 countries who participated in the conference thereby making it a truly global event. Papers presented during previous conferences continue to regularly appear in the top 5 search results from popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. The most popular IPROMS presentation and paper has been downloaded over 16000 times.

The conference proceedings will be published as a book and a CD-ROM by Whittles.
