Everest Sciences Develops Breakthrough Advances on Energy Efficient Cooling System
Everest Sciences announces the latest generation of their breakthrough, patented energy efficient cooling system, the Everest Cycle. Its primary application is the most advanced method of improving performance of gas turbine engines used for generating electrical power. The gains have been substantiated in studies by GE, Rolls-Royce and Solar Turbines. The full-scale prototype has repeatedly demonstrated the validity of this patented process.
The initial markets are with power generators and businesses that produce their own power. The first two installations of the Everest Cycle will be completed this summer, 2006.
When using this technology on medium size Rolls-Royce and Solar turbines, the usable power can be increased by as much as 30%. At the same time, fuel efficiency is increased, emissions are reduced and payback is quickly obtained.
The general public is also benefited. By equipping turbines with the Everest Cycle, many more homes can be added to each turbine’s market resulting in more cost efficient power. During this time of fuel conservation and use awareness, consumers should find this news encouraging.
This technology is the first non-refrigeration method to cool air almost to the point where moisture will condense (the “Dew-Point”). Les Schlom, Chief Engineer states, “This technology is the second generation of a process that my partner Andy Becwar and I pioneered many years ago for the air conditioning market; it has a solid proven track record.”
Everest Sciences was established in February 2000 by Chief Engineer Leslie Schlom and President Andy Becwar. Schlom has a BSME from UCLA & Cal State LA plus advanced studies in engineering and management. Andy Becwar, Everest Sciences’ President has a BSME from Santa Clara & Cal State LA and MBA from University of Southern California.
