» EngATech Announces the Addition of a Connex350 3D Printer to Their Tulsa Based Rapid Prototyping Lab

EngATech Inc. now has the only rapid prototyping machine with the unique ability to print parts and assemblies made of multiple materials in Oklahoma.

Tulsa, Oklahoma (December 15, 2010)  -- EngATech announced today the addition of the Connex350 3D printer to their Tulsa based 3D printing lab to expand their rapid prototyping services.  A breakthrough in rapid prototyping, the Connex350 offers product developers the ability to print parts and assemblies made of multiple materials with different mechanical and physical properties in a single build process.

The decision to bring a Connex350 into their printing lab was based on the benefit it would bring to the Tulsa entrepreneurial community.  “With organizations like The Tulsa Entrepreneur Sprite Awards and The Entrepreneurs Organization, Tulsa is a great place to generate new ideas, and the Connex350 will help bring those ideas to life,” commented Clay Slaton, EngATech CEO.

“Typically rapid prototyping material options have been very limited.  The Connex350 takes a giant step forward in giving you material options much closer to what your final end product will be made of, whether that is rubber, plastic, metal, etc,” said Slaton. "This allows for much more accurate testing of the design for fit, form, and functionality early on, ultimately saving you time and money."

The Connex350 works by using Objet Geometries’ patented PolyJet inkjet technology, which jets photopolymer (plastic like) materials in ultra-thin layers onto a build tray layer by layer until the part is completed. Each photopolymer layer is cured by UV light immediately after it is jetted, producing fully cured, environmentally friendly models that can be handled and used immediately.

It also allows you to chose from a wide variety of material colors including, black, white, gray, blue, or transparent, while also offering the ability to paint your parts any desired color. Other benefits include fast printing speed, high resolution and accuracy, and a large build tray size of 13.8 x 13.8 x 7.9 inches.

The addition of the Connex350 into their rapid prototyping lab offers companies a local option for their rapid prototyping needs using the highest quality printer available.  Along with providing rapid prototyping services, EngATech is the select distributor of Objet's 3D printing system in the five-state region consisting of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.  The Connex350 is a trademark of Objet Geometries.
